Family to Family Education Program

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (Buffalo Chapter) offers the Family-to-Family Education Program, specifically designed for family members of persons diagnosed with serious mental illness.   It is a 12-week series of classes and covers topics such as: information on the major mental illnesses, problem-solving skills, medications, empathy and communication skills, recovery, and advocacy for your loved one. All participants receive a Family Survival Handbook and Workshop Binder used throughout the program. The program is free of charge.
